Angie Cole is currently the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Hiawatha. She has been with the City for eleven years, six of which she held as the Parks and Recreation Director. Angie has been an IPRA and NRPA member since 2004, has served as a Director-At-Large from 2006-2008 and now holds the role of Treasurer. Angie received the "Mahalo" Award for her energetic leadership in Hiawatha's 2004 Hawaiian themed RAGBRAI stay. Angie also attended Li2 Leadership Institute in 2005 and came back to speak at Li3 to encourage new Parks and Recreation positions to get involved in IPRA. Angie holds a Human Resources degree from Kirkwood Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Mount Mercy. Angie says the opportunity she has been given to serve Hiawatha as the Parks and Recreation Director has been very rewarding.
