Absentee ballot request forms may be found at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linncounty.org\/157\/Election-Services\">LinnCounty.org\/Vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Due to COVID-19, the Linn County Auditor\u2019s Office strongly encourages voters to vote by mail. \u00a0To support this, the Auditor\u2019s Office will mail absentee request forms to approximately 145,000 active, registered voters in Linn County in late July or early August. A postage-paid return envelope will be included.<\/p>\n<p>As an alternative to mail, the Linn County Auditor\u2019s Office will have four secure drop boxes for voters to deposit their absentee ballot request forms and ballots. The drop boxes will be installed in mid-July and will be located at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0St. SW, Cedar Rapids<\/li>\n<li>Marion Hy-Vee, 3600 Business Highway 151, Marion<\/li>\n<li>Edgewood Hy-Vee, 5050 Edgewood Rd NE, Cedar Rapids<\/li>\n<li>Johnson Avenue Hy-Vee, 1843 Johnson Ave NW, Cedar Rapids<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In accordance with state law, the Auditor\u2019s Office will mail ballots starting Monday, October 5. Voters have until 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 24 to submit absentee request forms.<\/p>\n<p>Early, in-person, absentee voting will be available from October 5 through November 2. Due to COVID-19, the Linn County Auditor\u2019s Office is still determining details for in-person voting.<\/p>\n<p>In-person voting locations will be open on election day, November 3. However, Linn County will be combining locations, so many regular voting locations will change.
