We want everyone to be as safe and healthy as possible. The efforts we\u2019ve taken so far are working. Like social distancing, wearing masks in public, and diligent hand-washing.<\/p>\n<p>Keep up your vigilance during the garage sales, too, and help keep yourself, your family, and your community safe and healthy while searching for bargains.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Sellers Hosting a Garage Sale\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Wear a mask.<\/li>\n<li>Sanitize\/wash your hands often.<\/li>\n<li>Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you\u2019ve been exposed to COVID-19 or develop symptoms, please don\u2019t proceed with your sale<\/strong>. Contact us to have your sale removed.<\/li>\n<li>Spread out your stuff; set up your sale so shoppers can stay 6\u2032 apart. That might mean using your driveway more than you normally would.<\/li>\n<li>Set up a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.venmo.com\/\">Venmo<\/a>\u00a0account so you can accept touch-free payments. Garage sales that accept Venmo payments will be specially marked in the master list this year.<\/li>\n<li>If you are accepting payments in a way that involves having people touch your phone or a credit card machine, sanitize your phone\/device after each use.<\/li>\n<li>Keep your sale open Saturday afternoon. This will help us \u201cflatten the curve\u201d of crowds in the morning.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>For Shoppers of Garage Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Avoid shopping if you\u2019re sick or have symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath) of COVID-19 in the previous two weeks.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid shopping if you have\u00a0tested positive for or have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19 in the previous two weeks.<\/li>\n<li>Wear a face covering or mask while shopping.<\/li>\n<li>Keep 6 feet between you and other shoppers. (We\u2019re advising sellers to set up their sales to facilitate this.)<\/li>\n<li>Keep hand sanitizer with you and use it often.<\/li>\n<li>Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid touching items unless you\u2019re seriously considering a purchase.
