Blairs Ferry Family Pharmacy has partnered with City of Hiawatha to protect your families and take back your unneeded or expired medications and properly dispose of them. Prescription medications, patches, ointments, medication for pets, and over-the-counter drugs will be accepted. Items like syringes, inhalers and aerosols will not be accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><strong><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Glasses &amp; Hearing Aid Disposal by Hiawatha Lions Club<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Everyday, recycled eyeglasses help children read, adults succeed and seniors maintain their independence. Recycled hearing aids are refurbished to meet the needs of those hard of hearing locally, sent with hearing care professionals on mission trips to developing nations or credited for parts which in turn is applied towards the purchase of new hearing aids for persons who have limited abilities to pay. Businesses should contact Midwest Electronic Recovery for more information at 319-845-2001.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><strong><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Document Shredding by Heartland Shredding, Inc.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">The City of Hiawatha, in conjunction with Heartland Shredding, wants to help protect you from identity theft by providing you with an opportunity to shred unwanted documents. There will be a limit of 5 grocery bags per person and documents will be shredded on site. Vehicles will need to remain until their documents have been shredded. Documents for shredding need NOT be free of staples, paper clips or binder clips. You may also include a limited quantity of floppy diskettes and CD\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><strong><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Flag Disposal by Hiawatha Legion Post #735<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">Because we all know that flying or displaying a flag with damages or tears is considered a sign of disrespect, the Hiawatha Legion Post #735 has kindly offered their assistance in flag disposal. Hiawatha Legion Post #735 will accept all flags; Federal, State and POW. Bring your unserviceable flags for proper disposal.
