The Hiawatha Fire Department will be conducting a prairie burn today, Wednesday March 20, 2024 starting at 9:00 AM at the Prairiewoods Retreat Center.<\/p>\n
The burn will occur in the area north of Boyson Road and east of Robins Road.\u00a0\u00a0 The burn is being conducted to support Prairiewoods Retreat Center\u2019s prairie restoration practices.\u00a0 Neighbors and drivers in the area may observe smoke and are encourage to use caution due to the presence of emergency vehicles in the area.<\/p>\n
Burning should be completed by 1 PM.<\/p>\n
