The request seeks $10 million in federal support to advance construction and safety improvements along one of the region\u2019s most significant east\u2013west corridors.<br>Tower Terrace Road is a multi-jurisdictional project that has been planned and coordinated since the 1970s. The corridor connects four growing communities, supports regional economic development, and provides critical mobility for residents, employers, and visitors. The requested federal funding would help complete key segments that improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and expand access to jobs, housing, and services across Linn County.<br>Local leaders expressed appreciation for the project\u2019s selection and emphasized the importance of continued investment in regional infrastructure. \u201cThe Tower Terrace corridor is a shared priority for our communities,\u201d said representatives from the four cities and the Corridor MPO in a joint statement. \u201cAdvancing this project strengthens regional connectivity, supports economic growth, and improves safety for everyone who travels through the area. We appreciate Congresswoman Hinson\u2019s decision to move this request forward in the federal appropriations process.\u201d<br>The Tower Terrace Road project includes roadway, intersection, trail, and utility improvements that will serve current and future travel demand. The corridor is identified as a top regional priority in the MPO\u2019s long-range transportation plan and has received strong local financial commitment from all participating jurisdictions. The project will continue through the federal review process as Congress considers FY 2027 appropriations legislation.
