Boyson Road from 12th Avenue to North Center Point Road is Now Open

HIAWATHA, IA – August 21, 2025 – Effective immediately, Boyson Road from 12th Avenue to North Center Point Road is open to traffic. In addition, the southbound entrance and exit ramps are open. The northbound exit ramp will unfortunately be closed for another week until signage is installed. The northbound entrance ramp will be closed until late October.

Please note that construction work still continues on Boyson Road and the ramps. Please be alert and note the striping on the pavement for traffic patterns.

The project will continue through 2025 and into the 2026 construction season. We thank you for your continued patience.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other traffic signs in the work zone area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
