18th Avenue Lane Closure between Blairs Ferry Road to approximately 600 feet north for pavement widening. This section of 18th Avenue will be widened to allow for a new left-turn lane at Blair’s Ferry Road. During this construction, 18th Avenue will be one way only southbound for approximately 2 weeks. A detour for northbound 18th Avenue will be established on Miller Road
HIAWATHA, IA – October 18, 2019 – 18th Avenue will be one-way southbound starting Monday October 21, 2019 from Blairs Ferry Road to approximately 600 feet north for pavement widening. Pecks Boulevard will be closed at 18th Avenue. Left turns or right turns from Blairs Ferry Road onto 18th Avenue will be closed. Local traffic advised a detour will be established on Miller Road. Construction duration anticipated to be approximately 2 weeks.
Through traffic should use alternate routes.
