Emmons St to be closed for removal and replacement of concrete pavement.
HIAWATHA, IA – October 1, 2025 – Starting Monday, October 6, 2025, Emmons Street will be closed from Miller Rd to Creekview Ct for the removal and replacement of concrete that is in poor condition. Traffic control will be placed at 18th Avenue with a “No Thru Traffic” sign on Emmons St. Residents will still have access to 19th Ave, Sandy Ridge Ct and Creekview Ct.
All traffic will be detoured to Blairs Ferry Rd and Boyson Rd.
This detour is scheduled to be in place until Monday, October 13, weather pending.
Please be considerate of the contractor as they work to complete this project in a timely fashion.
