State law requires cities to hold a public hearing and adopt a resolution establishing the total maximum property tax levy and hold a hearing and adopt a resolution on the FY 2023 proposed budget.
On March 2, 2022 the City Council of Hiawatha will set a public hearing date on the FY 2023 proposed budget. The City will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed FY23 City budget on March 16, 2022 at 5:30 PM.
At the public hearing on March 16, 2022 any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed budget for FY23.
