HIAWATHA, IA – July 13, 2023 – Starting Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Pirie Dr will be closed from Brandon Ave to Robins Rd in the westbound lane only while Mid American Energy works on their gas main. A new gas main is being installed in anticipation of a new water main project on the north side of Pirie Dr in 2024. Westbound traffic will take a detour down Pirie Dr to Nixon Drive to Northwood Dr and then back to Robins Rd. Eastbound traffic from Robins Rd will not be affected.
Traffic in this area may experience minor delays while this work is being completed. Please try to avoid the area during construction. All work is anticipated to be completed by July 26, 2023, pending no delays.
