Press Release – Southbound Exit ramp and Entrance ramp

Southbound Exit ramp and Entrance ramp on Interstate 380 Exit 25 will be closed for ramp construction.

HIAWATHA, IA – April 4, 2025 – Starting Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 6:00 PM, southbound Exit 25 (Boyson Road) Exit and Entrance Ramps will be closed for construction. These closures are necessary to provide a safe work zone while demolition and reconstruction of the new ramps take place.

The Exit ramp detour will be Blairs Ferry Road east to Center Point Road and North to Boyson Road. This exit ramp is expected to be closed until June 7, 2025, weather pending.

The Entrance ramp detour will be east to N Center Point Road, south to Blairs Ferry Road and east on Blairs Ferry Road to the interstate entrance ramp. This entrance ramp is expected to be closed until July 4, 2025, weather pending.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other traffic signs in the work zone area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
