Rainbow Blvd and S 11th Ave temporary road/lane closure for installation of storm sewer and water main piping. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on Rainbow Blvd and S 11th Ave during utility installation.
HIAWATHA, IA – July 16, 2021 – Starting Monday, July 26, traffic will be reduced to one lane while the contractor installs storm sewer on the north side of Rainbow Blvd from 11th Ave to 12th Ave and both sides of S 11th Ave from Rainbow Blvd to Emmons St. One lane of traffic will remain open during the duration of the project with the exception of intersection closures at Rainbow Blvd and Eisenhower Rd. Intersection closures are expected to last one week for storm and water main installation as well as concrete pavement restoration. Lane closures will be shifting as the contractor continues storm sewer installation up S 11th Ave from Rainbow Blvd to Emmons Street.
Thru traffic should expect delays. All work is anticipated to last approximately one month through the end of August.
