Amnesty Day May 6, 2024

Items must be placed by the curb before 7:00 AM on May 6th

New this year, homes that do not meet requirements will receive a notice on their front door stating why items were not collected. Please recycle all items that can be recycled.

ALLOWED:

  • Broken glass placed in a plastic bucket or other suitable container
  • Windows and doors with broken glass will not be collected
  • Small items placed in trash cans or plastic bags. Mark trash cans with an “X” if they are to be discarded. 40lb weight limit
  • Large items such as furniture, mattresses, doors, beds, tires, chairs, toilets, etc.
  • Please cut railroad ties, plastic, lumber, carpet and drywall in 4′ or less lengths and tie in bundles
  • Remove nails and screws from lumber, trim, drywall, etc.
  • Metal
  • Appliances need to be placed curbside separate from other items as they will be collected by a different crew. Refrigerators and freezers must be cleaned out prior to pick-up

 

NOT ALLOWED:

  • Waste oil & solvents
  • Batteries
  • Deposit beverage containers
  • Pressurized tanks
  • Cans with undried paint
  • Cardboard
  • Florescent bulbs
  • Demolition project debris
  • TV’s, Computer monitors & other electronics (take these to Earth Day on April 20th)
