Public Information Meeting – I-380 Study

You are invited to attend a Public Information Meeting on October 12, 2016, between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. at the Hiawatha City Hall, 101 Emmons Street, in Hiawatha. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss an Interstate 380 study. The intent of the study is to evaluate improvement alternatives for I-380 between Iowa 100/Collins Road and County Home Road/Linn County Road E-34 in order to improve the safety and operations of I-380. Potential improvements will evaluate capacity improvements for I-380, a new interchange at Tower Terrace Road, and reconstruction of the interchange at Boyson Road. These improvements are intended to accommodate increased travel demands and may also provide the benefit of supporting regional travel needs for planned economic development and land uses.

No formal presentation will be made; however, general information regarding the proposed improvements will be discussed at the meeting. Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) staff will be available at the meeting to address questions, concerns, and general comments regarding the proposed improvements.

Should you have any comments or questions prior to the Public Information Meeting, or are not able to attend, please contact Catherine Cutler or refer to the Iowa DOT’s website which is periodically updated as new information becomes available here.
