Hiawatha City Council has authorized a design contract to prepare plans and specifications for the extension of the Boyson Road Multi-Use Trail from 12th Avenue to 15th Avenue. The proposed extension is the next project in the continued effort to develop a trail system along the south side of Boyson Road from Edgewood Road to the Cedar Valley Nature Trail east of North Center Point Road. The trail bid package allows for the construction of this extension yet this fall. It is anticipated that construction can begin mid-October.
The project will be funded with the Capital Project Funds.
